Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated or dedicated five projects in Ladakh by video link on 15 October, according to a government announcement. Their combined value was put at about ₹3,350 crore.
The package includes the new terminal at Leh airport and the Nimmu–Padum–Darcha road. The government says the terminal will expand annual passenger capacity from 10 lakh to 35 lakh.
Hydropower, transmission infrastructure and reservoirs also feature in the announcement. The stated capacities and costs are official figures; the announcement alone does not establish how the projects will perform in everyday use.
