Advertising helps fund our journalism. These rules keep it separate from our editorial work and clear to readers.
Labelling
Advertisements on the site are marked "Advertisement". Paid or sponsored articles, if published, are labelled "Sponsored" at the top of the page and are not presented as independent reporting.
Editorial independence
Advertisers and sponsors do not influence our news coverage, cannot review stories before publication, and cannot buy favourable coverage. Our journalists do not write advertising content.
Third-party ads
Display ads are served by a third-party advertising network and are selected automatically. Their appearance on the site is not an endorsement. If you see an ad that is misleading, offensive or inappropriate, please report it through the Contact page with a description or screenshot, and we will ask the network to block it.
What we do not accept
We do not knowingly accept advertising that is deceptive, promotes illegal products or services, impersonates news content or another brand, or uses misleading design to provoke clicks.
