About Us
NationList India is a digital news publication covering India and the wider world. We report on politics and governance, the states, business and the economy, technology, science, sports and culture, with a particular focus on explaining what developments mean for readers.
What we publish
Our coverage combines news reports, explainers, fact checks and clearly labelled opinion. Each format has a different purpose, and we mark it so readers always know what they are reading.
- News: what happened, who said what, and what is confirmed so far.
- Explainers: the background, numbers and context behind a story.
- Fact checks: a single claim tested against primary evidence, with our reasoning shown.
- Opinion: the views of named writers, kept separate from news reporting.
Our approach
We attribute information to its source, distinguish confirmed facts from claims and allegations, and seek relevant responses before publishing serious allegations. When a story develops, we update it and record the time of the update.
We do not present a demand, proposal or allegation as a decision or a finding. Where something is not yet known, we say so.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by our editors. Advertisers and sponsors have no say in what we cover or how we cover it. Advertising on the site is labelled and kept visually separate from journalism; see our Advertising and Sponsored Content policy.
Accuracy and corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct it openly and note what changed. You can report an error through the Contact page, including the article link and the evidence for the correction.
