Three people described as shooters have been arrested at Kota railway station in connection with the firing incident near actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai, according to the briefing available on October 19. The incident occurred near Pushpa Park in Juhu at around 7 pm on October 18. Shroff escaped unhurt, while his driver, Firdaus, was hit in the left hand and an autorickshaw driver was also reported injured.

Mumbai investigation continues

Mumbai Police recorded the driver’s statement and formed 15 teams to investigate the attack. The arrests in Kota represent a significant development, but investigators still need to establish the suspects’ individual roles, the motive, the sequence of events and whether anyone else was involved. Arrests do not by themselves establish guilt; the allegations must be tested through evidence and the judicial process.

The incident has also triggered a political debate over public safety and law and order in Maharashtra, with opposition leaders criticising the state government. A claim of responsibility attributed to the Bishnoi gang was mentioned in reports, but the briefing says police have not verified it. That claim should therefore not be treated as an established fact. Authorities’ forensic findings, witness accounts and formal statements will be important in determining the circumstances of the firing.
