Lucknow Police has doubled its reward for information that could help locate model-influencer Shraddha Dubey, who is wanted in connection with the death of businessman Shiva Sharma. The reward has been raised to ₹50,000 as investigators continue efforts to trace the absconding accused. Dubey has denied any role in Sharma’s death, and the allegations against her remain matters for the investigation and legal process.

Case under investigation

Sharma died after falling from the fourth floor of Avadh Green Apartment on October 9. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall and the events leading up to it. The decision to increase the reward is intended to encourage people with credible information to come forward. Any information should be shared with law-enforcement authorities rather than circulated as unverified claims on social media.

The case has also triggered administrative action. After the Hazratganj station house officer was removed, DCP Central Vikrant Veer was also removed amid criticism over the failure to arrest the accused. These changes indicate scrutiny of the police response, but do not by themselves establish wrongdoing by any individual officer. Further details about the investigation, evidence and any formal charges will need to be confirmed through official proceedings.
